As the professional body for Craniosacral Therapy in Ireland, all listed practitioners are fully qualified and agree to conform to a Code of Ethics and Standards of Best Practice. Valid professional indemnity insurance must also be held and submitted on a yearly basis.
The Irish Association of Craniosacral Therapists through its membership of the Federation of Irish Complementary Therapy Associations (FICTA), represents the development of Craniosacral Therapy in Ireland. Over the years the association has represented Craniosacral Therapists on National Working Groups set up by the Department of Health in relation to regulation of complementary therapies in Ireland.
Members of the IACST practice Craniosacral Therapy when they have been awarded relevant qualifications and have undertaken supervised training. All members of the association have been awarded relevant certification from an independent Craniosacral Therapy Educational Provider.
Practitioner listings assist the public in locating qualified Craniosacral Therapists in Ireland. The association also supports therapists to continue to develop their expertise through continuous professional development (CPD).
A key role of the association is to promote the development of Craniosacral Therapy in Ireland. This is done by promoting awareness and understanding of the therapy to the media, public, health and government bodies.
