AGM 2017

We had a very successful AGM on the 7th of October 2017 and we thank everyone who attended the talks and the AGM on the day. It was really nice to meet you all and regret not getting to connect with those who were unable to make it.

We had two excellent and very informative speakers in the morning, Meadbh McSweeney and Leanne Macken.

Meadbh MacSweeney demonstrated and gave us an overview of the Lymphatic System, and being a fluid system in the body, how it benefits from treatment by Craniosacral therapy or Manual Lymph Drainage.

Leanne Macken volunteered her time to encourage better understanding of the term “Child Protection”, the reasons behind it as well as how it is designed to also protect the therapists.

We are very grateful to them both for their time and expertise in both their areas.

We also had a quick presentation from Niall of Booking Hawk on th eintorduction of an onlline patient management and administrative system for our members. He was available for questions from our members after.

Following lunch and our morning talks we had our Annual General Meeting. Our meeting hightlighted all the incrediable work that has been completed over the past number of years and the chanllenges we face as an orgainisation and as individual therapists

All members of the committee resigned from their posts. No proposals came forward for re-election of new committee members so the election of committee has been adjourned until November 18th 2017 where it was agreed to hold an EGM in the Horse and Jockey Hotel in Thurles at 2.30pm. Prior to this there will be an option to experience IoPT with Deirdre Kennedy to gain some CPD hours. Click here for more details .
